...working towards a challenge and against each other.

Format

As a designer / constructor you will have the opportunity to learn about basic engineering skills within a motor sport environment. Elements will include design, electronics, hydraulics, aerodynamics, hand skills, and testing and evaluation.This will all be working towards a certificate to show off to your friends!

Tools

In the Innov8 section all the equipment and tools are provided. Each group of constructors / designers recieve a set of tools in a toolbox. There are then many other more specialiesd tools which can be used if required.

Safety

Young people are supervised at all times whilst using cutting or drilling equipment and personal protective equipment such as googles are worn as required. During the testing / competitive times, spectatiors are always at a safe distance and operators are instructed how to deploy safely. Leaders are always present at these times.

Competition

At the end of the week all the knowledge and skills learnt through the week will be put to the test in the ultimate competition.

In this section its the winning that counts, not the taking part!
